It all started one chilly November evening in 2001. While huddled around a crackling campfire made of shipping pallets under the amazing star lit sky of Joshua Tree National Park, California, the idea of walking a slackline was first presented. Rock climbers from all around the world descend on this relatively small high desert park to climb often in pleasant winter time weather. If I remember correctly only one or two people knew what slacklinging was and both of them were hard pressed to cross the entire line. I remember one Norwegin climber joking with his friend who was attempting to walk the line, “You’re a terrible climber and an even worse circus performer.”
Since then the idea of slackling has intrigued us. Together, the two founders of Freeflow Lines have been walking lines for over 13 years of combined experience. From heart racing highline adventures in the infamous Yosemite Valley, to setting up awesome surfing lines between pier pylons in Miami, Freeflow Lines has been developed from a vast array of experiences and ideas. Personal goals have been achieved and tricks have been invented. With an extremely knowledgeable staff that has years of experience in the field, you can guarantee our products are top notch.
Our mission is to reach out to the furthest corners of the globe and spread our sport by providing a high quality product, that will not only challenge but also promote community and good heath. Our site is designed to not only be a place to pick up gear and accessories, but also as an invaluable source of information on events, trip reports, trick development, and a one stop site for all your slackline needs.
Freeflow Lines will be out and about with new lines and new projects always going on. So when you see us be sure to stop in and say hello! This is a relatively new sport with no Super Stars yet labeled. The advancement is endless and the history has yet to be fully written. Perhaps YOU will be the first! |
